2006-10-05 - Create a story, and win a prize!!
Got a creative streak? Got the urge to write some prose? Got the itch to type some words of wisdom? Good, then get typing.
Today sees the launch of the first official AoA short story competition!!
The person who creates the best short story wins a £25 Amazon gift certificate (or local currency equivalent). Second and third places will receive £10 and £5 Amazon gift certificates respectively.
You have until 11:59pm 30th October (GMT) to submit your stories to storycompo@ashesofangels.com with a subject line of "AoA short story competition".
You can submit as many stories as you like. But each story should only be submitted once. So make sure you've finished it before you email it in. Subsequent submissions of the same story will be trashed :p
Each story should be either a piece of AoA history (feel free to make it up of course) or a narrative of some description. As long as it's all set in the AoA universe then anything goes really. War, peace, good times, bad times, romance, bar brawls, the lot.
All stories should be a minimum of 2,000 words. But can be as large as you like.
